Always looking for something to use up bits and bobs of wool I followed the links "completely cauchy" had posted to find the instructions ......
I found it a little hard to understand at first , until I realised that although she had told us to use a gauge of 15 stitches the instructions were actually for 31 stitches cast on (yes I felt like a complete div when I worked that one out )
Here are my version of the instructions ....
Pic1: Cast on 31 stitches and plain knit until the last stitch where you knit into the back of the loop (this makes a tidier edge) |
Pic3: Continue like this ... every row start by slipping the first stitch and every row knit the last stitch in the back of the loop .... |
My plan is too knit lots and lots of squares in all sorts of colours and then afterwards arrange them and sew them together .... I'll keep you posted
